Crucible Reflection

Act I of the Crucible was very interesting. There was a lot of naming of names, lying, prejudice, and things being blown out of proportion. The lying and the naming of names went hand in hand. Abagail was never willing to give the whole truth about the whole night but was completely willing to say Tituba made her drink the blood, dance, and do all sorts of weird things. She also vigorously threatened the girls to lie. When Tituba was named there was no questioning before she got beat, she was beaten and then questioned. The fact she was black, foreign, a servant, and named by a well-known white girl caused quick assumptions to be made about her. The whole situation was pretty much blown up. It got way bigger then it should have been. But, I guess with the Puritan rules and way of life, things tend to get blown up.
